The Photograph was taken at the front door of William and Jane's parents cottage which was at the right centre of four units.  The four properties all held under tenancy, were sold on Friday 29th June 1945 for £950.  The sale catalogue describes two of the cottages having two bedrooms, living room, pantry, wash-house with 'copper' and good garden.

The catalogue also describes the area as situated in the important and rapidly developing Midland District between the great centres of Coventry and Birmingham.  Primarily agricultural in character it has, particularly in recent years, received an added value from industry the importance of which will not pass unnoticed by the discerning purchaser.

The cottages were demolished in the early 1960's to make way for a new residential development.
